Senior Procurement Specialist

Talent International is working in partnership with a large government organisation to assist in sourcing an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to work in the Procurement and Contracts team responsible for the whole Procure to Pay function of all contracts for Professional Services Contracts.

Experience Required
  • Experience in tendering of contracts ideally within a construction or engineering environment (preferable NSW Government procurement experience).
  • Capacity to operate both independently, using initiative and self-direction, and as a team member to produce consistently high quality work.
  •  Ability to use initiative and maintain a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, and judgement while maintaining a strong customer service approach.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels (experience in writing briefing memo and reports for Senior Executive).
  • Knowledge of the construction or engineering industry.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams on procurement projects/programs combined with an understanding of government procurement requirements and obligations.
  • Superior strategic thinking, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
