A large Government department is currently seeking an experienced Senior Program Support Officer to apply for an exciting opportunity. The successful applicant is responsible for delivering and providing coordination, administration and support.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Updating the master schedule and tracking progress
  • Work with stakeholders on key templates to ensure short-term mission teams have the latest documentation for their preparation, and continue to refine this process
  • Prepare and draft work schedule for all teams and the delivery of posts
 
Experience and skills:
  • Ability to undertake all ICT procurement activities, from start-to-finish
  • Ability to manage and assist project coordination activities across a highly complex ICT program
  • Ability to undertake resource management activities, including resource schedules, selecting suitable resources, liaising with department and client agencies for selection of qualified personnel
  •  Ability to undertake project scheduling and resource scheduling activities, including procurement scheduling against project deliverables
  • Strong understanding of Commonwealth financial operating procedures and legislation, including the ability to undertake project financial activities in SAP
  • Ability to coordinate asset disposal activities across multiple sites, including completion of relevant documentation and liaising with relevant team members throughout the process
  • Ability to provide high level project and procurement documentation
  • Strong communication both orally and written, for procurement, project communications, briefs etc.
  • Ability to provide Secretariat duties to program management meeting and sponsoring groups
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Ability to work proactively with all projects and programs to undertake workload requirements

It is a requirement of these positions that the successful candidates must be Australian Citizens. For this role, possession of a current security clearance is mandatory.
