This high profile Tier 2 Federal Government agency is seeking Senior Project Managers to become part of a high performance PMO. Working across the organisation, you will coordinate the delivery of project outcomes, towards the achievement of strategic plans.

The overall responsibilities of the Project Manager are to:
  • Plan and execute, and close ICT projects, which include the delivery of both technical and business outcomes, in accordance with relevant methodologies (PRINCE2 and System Development Methodologies, including waterfall and AGILE);Throughout the lifecycle of the project, proactively identify and manage the project's technical risks and issues; and ensure that the quality of the deliverables will meet the stated benefits and business outcomes;
  • Be accountable for the overall progress of the project and directly manage the allocated project staff, including contract and vendor management if required;
  • Manage the approved project budget, including the capital and operating expenditure;
  • Provide accurate and timely reports to the Governance Boards/ Program and Project Management Office and Sponsors;
  • Build strong working relationships with the Project Sponsor, vendors, stakeholders and technical teams:
  • Manage the transition of the project into business as usual, to the technical, maintenance, support and business areas.
