Your brand new role will see you accountable for thought and technical leadership in the configuration, operation and lifecycle of technologies, infrastructure, and services that underpin the user experience in the application and desktop virtualisation platform as well as the private and public infrastructure as a service cloud platform.

Key accountabilities
  • Accountable for infrastructure and services that underpin the user experience in the UNIX platform, as well as the private and public infrastructure as a service cloud platforms 
  • Take ownership of a diverse range of innovative solutions, including the Clusters and Software product suites running on the Servers, Oracle Redhat infrastructure 
  • Maintain a depth of knowledge of the Virtualised environments both on and off premise and associated best practices
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert Virtualised / Cloud based environments and systems 
  • Ensure effective and efficient resolution to incidents, service requests and problems as per the documented service level agreements
  • Provide advice, assistance and leadership associated with the planning, design and improvement of service
  • Rostered on-call support 
Key skills and experience 
  • Minimum of 5+ years in a Linux Systems Administrator role
  • Solid understanding of Cloud Services and Virtualisation Technologies including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, VMware, HyperV and Citrix
  • Strong experience and knowledge in Puppet 
  • Substantial experience working supporting infrastructure services and systems across virtual environment, both on and off premise
  • History in Solaris Unix and Clustering
  • Ability to take a leading role in the establishment and maintenance of constructive relationships with customers, peers, suppliers and other key stakeholders, both internal and external
