A great opportunity has become available for an experienced Service Designer to join a core Design team. 

You will be working across the organisation and multidisciplinary teams to help understand the overall service opportunity and transition from current state to an improved service, using service design techniques. 

You will work collaboratively and involve other people from your team in the design process and ensure that user needs are understood and considered in all the decisions the team is making. In this capacity you will participate in cross-agency activities, across many countries, to embed the culture of human centred design, in the design and delivery of new services.

Skills required:
  • Extensive experience in design of services for large organisations and/or government.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Human Centred Design.
  • Demonstrated experience mapping complex service environments 'as is' and future state based on userresearch.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with user researchers and can sell and represent users internally.
  • Understands difference between user needs and desires of the user. 
  • Can prioritise and defines approaches to understand the user story. 
  • Can recommend best tools and methods to be used.
  • Demonstrated experience working on operational services.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting persuasively to senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the Digital service standard and working in Agile teams.
  • Experience transforming services, either private or government, with a focus on benchmarking and measurement.
