Exciting contract position to be part of a migration project! 


The SharePoint Online Project is tasked with migrating on-premise SharePoint environment to SharePoint Online. This role requires a technical consultant to work as part of a team ensuring that expected and unexpected issues encountered as part of the migration are corrected.

 Role Overview

The majority of the SharePoint environment consists of a significant amount of content which makes-up highly utilised intranet system. This system has been customised over the years to meet business needs, however these customisations present challenges to the intent to migrate to Microsoft's SharePoint Online platform.

Under direction of the Project Manager, the technical consultant is expected to work as part of the team tasked with migrating to SharePoint Online which consists of intranet SMEs, a migration specialist and solution architect. The role will primarily be focused on adjusting and correcting content as it is migrated from its source location to SharePoint Online. The role will also include:
  • Contributing to migration planning
  • Identifying common issues and working with the team on resolution plans
  • Working with the relevant business areas (content owners) to ensure that solutions to content issues are agreed and acceptable
  • Providing input into planning and change processes
  • Coming up with creative solutions as required to improve the existing content and look and feel where reasonable
  • Ensuring that migrated content and any adjustments meet the corporate standards for design and accessibility

 Competencies & Skill Level
  • Experience authoring and editing SharePoint content
  • A strong understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast paced delivery environment
  • Ability to clearly communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Good problem solving skills including the ability to think creatively in developing solutions
  • An understanding of web design patterns and standards
  • Experience with web accessibility standards and testing
  • Experience with mobile responsive design
  • Javascript skills
  • An understanding of the corporate standards for design and accessibility
