 Working as a SharePoint Developer your responsibilities will include designing, developing, delivering and implementing solutions for SharePoint 2013 and assisting in the development and maintenance of company web applications (Internet and Intranet) for a QLD Govt Dept. This is a contract role through until the end of the financial year with the chance of extensions and will be based in the CBD.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical and consultancy services in the development, support or enhancement of SharePoint 2013; Provide advice on business requirements to enhance the future functionality of the application; Perform impact analysis for the changed functionality.
  • Design, develop and deploy SharePoint 2013 solutions by studying requirements analysis and information needs; Prepare technical specification documents; Actively participate in product design reviews by providing creative and practical ideas and solutions in a teamwork environment.
  • Develop SharePoint 2013 solutions in accordance with the approved development methodologies and standards, undertake peer reviews of code; develop unit test plans and undertake unit testing.
  • Maintain and support existing SharePoint 2013 intranet solutions; liaise with clients; recommends options for improvement;
  • Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Core Skills:
  • Experience as a SharePoint Developer in the analysis, design, hands-on development and delivery of web-based applications.
  • Experience programming in Microsoft .NET (VB, ASP, C#) and Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Experience programming with SharePoint's client and server APIs
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, XML and strong JavaScript skills
  • Experience with SharePoint Designer, Web Parts, and workflow creation.
  • Experience in building/compiling and deploying WSPs
  • Experience with PowerShell
  • Experience with Nintex Forms and Workflow (desirable)
  • Experience with XSLT (desirable)
  • Experience with MS InfoPath 2010 (desirable)
  • Experience with SharePoint's application services framework including implementation, configuration, and usages of Search, Managed Metadata, and User Profile Services. (desirable)
