A global solutions leader is seeking to engage a Software Configuration Analyst on a permanent basis to support to one of their clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for tools and automation such as VMWare Orchastration and VMWare Automation, Enterprise Data Warehouse SSRS, MuleSoft ESB, Service Now, HPUD, SharePoint, Raritan. 
  • Provide Data Anylitical support to the Performance Team and building performance reporting to support operational service levels.
  • Assisting the SACM team in managing and supporting the CMDB, and supporting the logistics team in ILS for maintining spares for the ICT platformed within all datacentres. 
  • Develop and maintain software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products.  
  • Perform configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable.  
  • Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development.  
  • Design and implement build procedures that are used to support software product development and use.  
  • Develop software configuration standards and policies for company-wide use.
  • Train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards.
  • Maintain the Software Configuration Management System including collection or distribution of code documentation, problem report and change request processing, software build documents, and delivery of software products to operational environments.  
  • Implement long term organisational objectives for software process improvement (e.g., SEI CMM), compliance with ISO 9000 standards, and software code reuse.

Skills & Experience:
  • Development skills to code and develop within JavaScripting, OpenSource, SQL, HTML, C#, .NET, visual Basic
  • Expert level of skills with relevant technologies including VMWare Orchastration and VMWare Automation, Enterprise Data Warehouse SSRS, MuleSoft ESB, Service Now - CMDB, HPUD, SharePoint, Raritan
  • Many years of experience working in a similar role within an engineering or project environment 
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as contribute in a team and professional environment
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
