My client delivers the technology, services and knowledge that power some of the best video services in the world. While their customers are media companies, mobile operators and broadcasters in Europe, Asia and the U.S., they are headquartered in the beautiful Scandinavia. Having opened a new office in Sydney last summer, they are looking for a Solution Architect with Java development expertise ideally with a passion for media, who can contribute to their continued growth & success.

They are expanding rapidly, but are still carefully handpicking the sharpest talent.

Here's a few things that will shape your role:
  • Solution design, workflow design, SOW work, estimation
  • Understand the complete platform architecture and running environment (i.e. vcc, users, authorization, payment, orders, video pipeline, streaming, cdn, products, vouchers, templates, continuous integration, ansible, docker, ec2, aws services etc)
  • Host or participate in planning workshops with clients or potential clients
  • Meet with third party vendors for integration purposes
  • Give guidance and advice on how to integrate with the platform effectively
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, pinpoint sources of errors and responsibilities
  • Technical sidekick at sales meetings with current and potential new clients
  • Present at sales meetings and conduct live demos
  • Work with Operations for planning configuration changes and deployments (platform and incremental upgrades)
  • Co-ordinate local development efforts with other teams and plan upcoming work
  • Documentation and knowledge sharing
  • Big picture thinking - whole solution view
What will you (ideally) have:
  • Successful background from similar role
  • Relevant higher education
  • A love the media industry
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written
