Working for this well known Melbourne institution you will will support the Business Technology Partner (BTP) in the provision of services provided by the BTP function, namely: Strategic & Business Planning, Demand Management & Prioritisation, Solution Consulting & High Level Analysis

You new role as Solution Consultant will see you utilise a breadth of skills covering business analysis, consulting, problem solving, solution design and basic project management in your day to day operations. 

Key accountabilities
  • Gain detailed knowledge and understanding of the business areas supported by the ITS portfolio
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business problems and identify effective solutions
  • Take responsibility for eliciting high level business requirements and translating those into system functionality using a range of techniques as required
  • Work closely with the BTP and business stakeholders to manage the ITS Portfolio Demand via the established framework
  • Work closely with a Solutions Architect to design the solution that best meets the stakeholder's requirements
  • Manage expectations and interactions with business stakeholders, while addressing any queries or concerns regarding proposed solutions
Skills and experience 
  • Strong business / solution analysis background, and understanding of the application of Information Technologies within complex environments 
  • Experience in early stage consulting (pre business case) - discussing ideas and concepts with business stakeholders, influencing to ensure solution options are aligned with technology strategy
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholder - from senior business and technology stakeholders to technical ITS staff and vendors;
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills - being able to conduct workshops and manage meetings, organise and align discussion to achieve outcome(s).
  • Strong requirements elicitation and analytical problem solving skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong facilitation and change leadership skills
