Our client is a large government department, with offices throughout Canberra, tasked with delivering a range of services that provide health, welfare and support services to Australians. You will have the opportunity to work on high-profile projects that will improve the department's corporate systems and enable them to positively impact the lives of Australians. 

About the Role

As the System Analyst, work as part of an Agile multi-disciplinary team to define and validate solutions that meet the businesses' needs, goals and objectives. You will leverage your experience to help in the understanding and documentation of the constraints and opportunities presented by processes and systems and work closely with user experience designers to ensure designs can be implemented.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in defining and clarifying business needs
  • Contribute to the creation of user stories and other artefacts
  • Liaise with stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements
  • Assist the product manager to manage requirements
  • Trace business requirements through prioritisation of features and user stories
  • Produce artefacts and documents such as process modelling, sequence flows and system specs
  • Provide go-live support and maintenance for applications
  • Facilitate groups and workshops to assist with the preparation of agenda ideas
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Business or System Analyst on a large IT application development project
  • Demonstrated experience in developing user journeys, user stories, use cases and other complex documentation
  • High-level analytical skills in a systems or business environment
  • Understanding of process modelling, systems development and testing methodologies
  • Experience working in Agile delivery teams, ideally with experience or expose to JIRA and Kanban

It is a requirement of this position that the successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain a security clearance.
