Technical Business Analyst

A government owned organisation is seeking a skilled and experienced individual to engage in a contract role based in Canberra for an initial 6 months as a Technical Business Analyst. 

  • Competitive contract rate based off of full-time hours

The Role:
The role will assist to engage with business areas to analyse business requirements, conduct research and design products and services in user-centred and iterative way. As a Technical Business Analyst you will be able to facilitate design sessions to elicit requirements, rules and be able to document design decisions in order to meets business outcomes. This position works closely with the Lead Service Designer, Technical Architect and Lead Developer.

To be successful you will need:
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience working as a Technical Business Analyst.
  • Demonstrated experience in analysing business processes, identifying alternate solutions and recommending new approaches
  • Experience in understanding business requirements and priorities and determining business value through user pathways, "as is' and "to be' modelling
  • Demonstrated experience in writing technical documentation, including business requirements, high level solution designs, technical feasibility assessments, functional specifications and technical specifications
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate and present to different audiences (business and technical) 
  • Experience in working in a client focused delivery environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to listen and ask the 'right' questions
  • A proven ability to quickly establish productive working relationships with stakeholders
  • Has in-depth knowledge of a broad range of industry-wide modelling techniques
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise work in order to align with organisational priorities and deadlines.
