The Role:

The main purpose of the Technical Support Manager is the maintenance of IT infrastructure, systems and networks ensuring that hardware and software are maintained to meet our clients business requirements.

The Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team to provide second/third level support for network, infrastructure, systems and security requirements
  • Manage the ITIL processes for Configuration, Access and Event management
  • Manage/monitor all infrastructure, network, security and computer systems to meet the organisations current and future requirements
  • Work with vendors and service providers to ensure a productive environment
  • Other duties as directed by the Manager ITS Operations, consistent with the above duties and responsibilities.
The Skills:
  • Strong experience as an Infrastructure/Technical Support Manager
  • Proven experience in managing a team administrating infrastructure/systems/networks
  • Strong technical knowledge of;
  • Virtualisation technologies including VMWare and Citrix
  • CISCO enterprise systems including Nexus and catalyst technologies
  • Security technical protocols, policies and processes
  • Ability to manage vendors and reach viable commercial agreements
  • Experience working within the public sector
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
