About the Organisation
Our client is a government agency with a mission to develop, preserve, maintain, promote and provide access to a vast national collection of television, radio and other audiovisual materials. They are seeking a Web Administrator/Service Desk Officer to help maintain a range of existing and planned websites as well as other digital platforms. 

About the Role
As the Web Administrator/Service Desk Officer, you will manage the resolution of web issues involving designers, developers and stakeholders, as well as coordinating ongoing maintenance of web environments and new digital technology. You will carry out UAT on new web products and provide supplementary level 2 service desk support for a range of digital capabilities. You will also work closely with the Digital Projects and Web Manager to deliver digital initiatives.

This role will suit someone with existing skills and experience, who is excited by new technologies and how they can be used to support the work of our client!

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance and troubleshooting for web systems, legacy platforms, software and digital capabilities
  • Monitor and prepare reports on usage and performance
  • Monitor tickets with external contractors
  • Act as a primary point of contact for liaison with online and communications team
  • Implementation and UAT of web systems
  • Assess hosting and web infrastructure environment
  • Provide level 2 service desk support for web and other digital systems

Skills & Experience
  • Experience with web platforms and technologies, particularly Drupal, WordPress and Django
  • Intermediate skills in areas such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, JQuery, PHP, ASP/ASPX, or Python
  • Strong customer service focus, service desk and ticket management experience highly desirable
  • ServiceNow/JIRA/Trello or other similar tools ideal
  • Knowledge of current web trends and issues, including web standards, accessibility, open data access and social media.

It is a requirement of this position that the successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen.
