Role Description:

Our client is looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

Key Role Requirements:

Proficient understanding of web mark-up, including HTML5, CSS3.

Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.

Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.

Strong familiarity with requirements techniques such as, user stories, use cases, and informal modelling.

Experience working in agile and lean software development teams and proficient with Scrum and Kanban.

Experience with Confluence & JIRA tools.

Outstanding verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS, NodeJS etc.

Strong Angular 6, 7 + skills;

Familiarity with browser testing and debugging.

In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment).

Understanding of layout aesthetics.

Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.

An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent analytical and multitasking skills.

Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.

Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.

Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, GitFlow and pull requests.

Experience working on public facing web sites and applications;

Experience working in the Financial Services Industry, in particular Investment Management, is desired.
